The Blanton Museum of Art's Block Party is a free 12-hour festival with the perfect fusion of world-class art and the best of Austin music and food. The concert lineup includes Jeff Plankenhorn, Saul Paul, Mariachi Los Gallos, Money Chicha, Texas KGB, Good Field, Shy Beast, and Donovan Keith, with Riders Against the Storm headlining.

Activities include family-friendly art making, photo booths courtesy of MyEventIsTheBomb, free bandana screen-printing via Industry Print Shop, performances by local community groups, art tours, and more. Food and drink will be available for purchase from local favorites Chai Wala, Hummus Among Us, Pueblo Viejo, The North Door, Pinkberry, and the Blanton Café.

Visitors can also explore "Words/Matter: Latin American Art and Language", an exhibition of language, poetry, and protest in art from Latin America; Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin; as well new treasures and old favorites in the Blanton’s collection, which includes European paintings, Latin American art, and modern and contemporary art. To get to know the art better, visitors can take part in tours offered throughout the day, or they can explore the museum on their own.
