The Texas Faculty Reed Trio and pianist Colette Valentine will premiere a piece by UT Composition Professor Russell Pinkston. They will discuss how the use of air in music is similar to a painter’s brushstrokes. This examination of color, texture, and tone will draw on the Blanton’s collection of modern American painting.
