ire'ne lara silva and Mandy Alyss Brown will headline the Second Thursday Poetry Reading. CantoMundo Inaugural Fellow ire’ne lara silva has two chapbooks, ani’mal and INDIGENA, a collection of poetry, furia (Mouthfeel Press, 2010), and a forthcoming collection of short stories, flesh to bone (Aunt Lute Press, 2013). silva was the 2008 recipient of the Gloria Anzaldua Milagro Award, a Macondo Workshop member, and a coordinator for the Flor De Nopal Literary Festival. Pushcart Prize nominee Mandy Alyss Brown is the author of a novel, The Sting (Sweatshoppe Publications, 2013), and is the 2013 Tillie Olson Fellow for A Room Of Her Own Foundation.
