Presented by Austin Sonic Drive-Ins, the signature derby race will launch of more than 17,000 eco-friendly rubber ducks into Lady Bird Lake. The quacky event will also feature a mix of tasty food for savoring, music for shaking those tail feathers and other family-friendly activities. Austinites are invited to participate by adopting a duck to compete in the race, with great prizes to be awarded to top-finishing ducks. The community is encouraged to adopt one duck or a family of ducks. Proceeds will benefit the Austin Boys and Girls Clubs Foundation.
