Austin and Detroit are separated by nearly 1,400 miles, but you wouldn’t know it by listening to The Nightowls, the local band whose sound recalls the golden age of Motown. On December 3, the nine-piece band will celebrate the release of their full-length debut album, Good as Gold, which pays homage to the past while keeping focused on the future. Also taking the stage during the evening will be Bus Stop Stallions and the Jack Burton Trio.
