City of Austin presents a Trio of Public Art Voices

Join the City of Austin's Art in Public Places Program for a panel discussion with three distinct public art voices from around the country. Artist Norie Sato from Seattle, artist Janet Zweig from Brooklyn and Shelly Willis, executive director of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, will have a lively conversation about the importance of public art moderated by Meghan Wells. The panel will explore topics such as the intersection of local identity and artwork, public participation and the artist's role in promoting public dialog.
