Shoppers and downtown visitors are invited to warm up at the Small Business Saturday and inaugural Wassail Fest, a new event addition to the 2016 Lost Pines Christmas lineup. Wassail will be served throughout historic downtown Bastrop in various shops, stores and restaurants, and visitors are encouraged to sample for good cheer while wining, dining and doing a little Christmas shopping. Recipes will be judged on taste and presentation, and participating merchants will also battle for the People's Choice Award, in which visitors will be able to cast their vote for the best wassail.

The event is held in conjunction with the American Express Small Business Saturday and is an excellent way to support your local small businesses.
