City of West Lake Hills presents 4th of July Parade & Celebration

The Westlake Chamber of Commerce will present the 20th anniversary of the 4th of July Parade and Celebration for the City of West Lake Hills. The event will kick-off with a live performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” by recent 2021 Westlake High School graduate, Bryan Finley-James. Directly after the anthem, the Westlake Fire Department will sound the sirens to signal the start of the parade. The fire trucks and Boy Scouts Troops 990 and 72 will lead the parade down Westlake Drive, Rocky River Road and Reveille Road.

The event will feature live music, games, prizes, free food and the annual costume contest. Trophies will be awarded to the Most Patriotic Girl, Most Patriotic Boy, Best Dressed Pet, Most Patriotic Adult and Best “Thing on Wheels.” In addition, guests can enjoy Texas Honey Ham breakfast tacos, Amy’s Ice Cream, Trianon Coffee, Tiny Pies, Jim Jims, Watermelon, Snow cones, a photo booth, a duck pond ,and plenty of games provided by local Westlake area businesses.

This year, Brad Booker of the Booker, Alex and Sara Show from Mix 94.7 will emcee the ceremonies and DJ 2DQ will complement the live music with spirited music.
