With runoffs for mayor and eight of the ten districts, KLRU, Leadership Austin, KUT News and the The Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life, will host three nights of forums for citizens to learn how potential leaders will guide the city if elected.
According to a press release for the event from KLRU, only four of the 78 candidates who ran for mayor or Austin's ten new districts have ever served at City Hall. The presenters have extended an invitation to all run-off candidates participate in discussions to be taped for broadcast in KLRU's Civic Summit series. The conversations will focus on leadership values and qualities each candidate will bring to our rapidly changing city.
