Classical Sound presents Double Bass Extravaganza

Entitled “Double Bass Extravaganza” to honor the memory of young bass player, Draylen Mason, this program will feature the seldom performed Sextet for violin, two violas, cello, double bass, and piano by Felix Mendelssohn, and the ever popular “Trout” Quintet of Franz Schubert. Featured performers are guest violinist Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio, pianist Toby Blumenthal, and principal players of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, including Jonathan Rouse on double bass, Douglas Harvey on cello, and Bruce Williams and Blake Turner on viola.
