Five-time No. 1 New York Times bestselling author and UT alumna Brené Brown will be joining The Center for Sports Leadership and Innovation (CSLi) for a special event and intimate conversation. In a conversation with CSLi founder Daron K. Roberts, called "Daring Athletes: Embracing Courageous Leadership in the Age of Toughness," Brown will delve into the tools that athletes can use to show up and their bravest, most authentic selves. How can athletes pierce the toughness veil? How can fans and parents create a safe space for the heroes to become more courageous leaders?

This event will shift the dialogue around what it means to be a courageous athlete. Though the conversation is centered around sports leadership, Brown’s message is applicable to all students and current or future leaders beyond just athletes.
