Austin's African American Cultural Heritage District has been working on the Discover Heritage Map, multimedia collaboration with local middle school students. This fun workshop led by executive director Lisa Byrd and project manager Matthew Gossage will guide you through the interactive map, which explores some of East Austin's rich history and beautiful culture, which can be lost in the gentrification of the neighborhood.
