Dance Africa Fest is a workshop and performance series that celebrates the rhythms and movements of the African Diaspora. Created in Austin in 2014 by local artist and non-profit administrator Tonya Pennie, DAF amplifies African and Diasporic culture and art.

DAF strives to celebrate the cultural legacy of the African Diaspora and focuses on preserving the rich traditions found in Diasporic drum and dance. Enjoy dynamic dance and movement classes with live drumming from Africa to the Caribbean, shop for hand-crafted wares, partake in community and attend an evening performance featuring artists that share cultural knowledge and transform spectators into enthusiastic participants.
