Amy Banner Updegrove is a native Texan who has lived in New York and Los Angeles where she worked in design and media. After studying art and design she was the retail marketing director for Polo Ralph Lauren, the publisher of Texas Monthly and the president of Los Angeles Magazine.
In her first solo exhibit, Updegrove builds with grounding shapes, natural textures, and resonate colors resulting in repeating patterns found in our surroundings, both natural and man-made. Combining woven fabrics, construction metals, reflective materials and vintage leathers, her pieces highlight perceived differences based on changes in light and viewpoint.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until November 22.
