Dougherty Arts Center presents Sarah Bork’s “Girls Gotta Eat,” an exhibition that will celebrate Bork’s cinematic portraits and in-depth interviews with a night of drag performances, food, and more.

“Girls Gotta Eat” is a series of vibrant cinematic portraits of drag performers grocery shopping that playfully invites viewers to explore “how other is us.” Through Bork’s lens, the grocery store becomes a kaleidoscopic playground of comfort and self-care. These character portraits are paired with handwritten grocery lists and extensive interviews, exploring a nuanced spectrum of identity and experience beyond the traditional gender binary.
