Downtown Austin Alliance, in partnership with DiverseArts, will have a brunch open house and workshop as part of The Community’s Table series. Picture downtown Austin in 10-15 years. What would you like to see? Visitors are invited to think about this question, and write down their visions for downtown Austin on a block of wood, which is being called a vision board. The vision boards will join others in creating a community public art piece that will be installed in Republic Square on November 18, 2017. By compiling the vision boards that will collectively become the top of a community table, we will be reminded of the diversity of voices and perspectives, needs and desires that will shape the vision for the future of downtown Austin.
