The Driskill celebrates Texas Independence Day with local brews, live music, authentic cowboy boots, friendly company, and Texas spirit. Guests can get their Texas Independence Day started off on the right foot with The Driskill's signature Texas-shaped Pecan Waffles followed by a fitting for custom cowboy boots from Allen' Boots in a pop-up boot shop in the Victorian Room.

Sun Radio will be broadcasting live throughout the morning, and Texas-themed food specials and iconic dishes will be served all day. TX Whiskey will serve up whiskey tastings and happy hour. Closing the Independence Day celebrations is a Texas-centric Trivia Night hosted by The Texas Tribune and its executive editor, Ross Ramsey. The trivia event will pit teams of five against each other to see who can claim themselves as a true Texan. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
