Eat Local / Act Global — 1000 Books of Hope Celebration and Concert

eventdetail
Building Hope

The Nobelity Project and CTC International celebrate their Kenyan library book drive with Eat Local / Act Global - a local food and drink celebration with music by Ruby Jane, Sara Hickman and Austin's favorite African music band, Zoumountchi!

And it's a great deal! $25 Tickets include all drinks and food (with a whole roasted pig from Cazamance) and a fantastic concert of Austin and African music. You can get $5 off by bringing a book for the Kenyan libraries.

They ask you to donate not just any book, but your favorite book and write your name and hometown inside the cover as well as a short note about why you love the book, or what it has meant to you. The names, cities and notes will be the introduction to a world of learning and endless possibilities.
