Just in time to help you survive the hottest time of the Texas summer, the Austin Ice Cream Festival returns for a day of the best creamy frozen treats in town. Bring your kids, family, friends and pooches along and show off your various ice cream skills with the homemade ice cream making contest, a popsicle stick sculpture contest or just a straight-up ice cream eating contest. 

Kids eight and under get in for free, while a $10 admission provides guests with three tickets to redeem with ice cream vendors, while some vendors such as Blue Bell will not require a ticket and hand out free ice cream until they run out. The day also promises games, activities and live entertainment for everyone.
