Elisabet Ney Museum presents "Suffrage Now"

eventdetail

Elisabet Ney Museum will explore the question "Suffrage Now": Do we have it? What work needs to be done? The answer will come through the photographer’s lens and the virtual prism. After all, is a photograph presented virtually an object or an idea? And how does that impact the viewer, especially when discussing social movements?

This illuminating talk will take place via Zoom, and will be recorded and made available at a later date. This is the last planned talk to accompany the landmark online "Suffrage Now: A 19th Amendment Centennial Exhibition."

The moderator will be Emmy Laursen, artist, curator and producer, of Austin. The photographers are Sinden Collier, Houston; Mariana Lemos Duarte, NYC; Kathleen Greco, Southampton PA; and Jeanine Michna-Bales, Dallas.
