Austin Shakespeare returns live for music at Esquina Tango’s new open-air stage for two sets of Words & Music Cabaret.
Kara Bliss will join with her long-time pianist Austin Haller with songs fromcomposers such as Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, and Noel Coward. An added attraction is a special in-person appearance by King and Queen of the Fairies from Austin Shakespeare’s upcoming online A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sam Mandelbaum and Gwendolyn Kelso, along with Lisa Young as “Peaseblossom.” Kara and Austin are joined by ace musicians Utah Hamrick on bass and Andy Beaudoin on percussion.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor individual dance floors. This outdoor setting includes 10 platforms and one stage. Each platform is 6×8 and are socially distanced from one another. Reservations are per platform, not per person, with a maximum of four people per platform. Only one person of the full party needs to make reservation online.
