Going into its 8th year, Austin Fashion Week is the largest fashion event in Texas and one of the most highly acclaimed in the Southern United States. AFW 2016 will feature an all new lineup of events including:
- Austin Fashion Week Kickoff: To kick off the festivities, Austin Fashion Week will be hosting a gallery-style viewing of nearly 30 vivid Mash-Up Team images printed on canvas along with presentations of the models. Enjoy delicious cocktails while mingling with some of Austin’s most creative designers, hair stylists, makeup artists, photographers, models, stylists, and more at Speakeasy.
- Austin Fashion Week Brunch: This stylish Brunch presented by John Hardy will help celebrate the iconic The Driskill’s 130th birthday. Enjoy 130 years of fashion through a special runway show featuring Big Bertha’s Paradise, John Hardy and Alexandra Dieck of Lexicon of Style with hair and makeup by Red Stella. Brunch will honor Style Setter Aida G. Dieck and a portion of all ticket proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association, Capital Area Division.
- Austin Fashion Week Soirees: AFW at Soirees as Austin boutiques, salons, spas, and gallery spaces open their doors to host designer trunk shows, mini runway events, shopping events, and more. Most events are free and open to the public, so party hop across the city and experience all Austin has to offer.
- Thursday Runways and Gallery: The Runway nights begin with full collections presented by local designers Katie Kime, M.E. Shirley, Plenty-FM and Samantha Plasencia; emerging designers, Masha Osoianu Design and Perfect Population; and stars that have been featured on Lifetime Television’s hit show Project Runway, including Daniel Esquivel, Sean Kelly, and La Miniatura by Jeffrey Sebelia.
