Balmorhea Blue is a series of progressive pool parties raising money to support the Balmorhea State Park. Throughout the afternoon, guests will be invited to participate in a wide variety of fun activities: live music, water aerobics, water volleyball and an ice cream social. The parties will be open to hotel guests even if they have not pre-purchased a ticket. Guests can purchase a walk-up ticket should they wish to participate.

Two cocktails will be featured on poolside table menu stands throughout June and July. Each participating hotel agrees to donate $1 for every cocktail sold during that time frame. Since this is a philanthropic fundraiser, tickets are expensive and 100 percent of the profits from tickets and merchandise sales will be donated to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation. Cocktails and drinks will be charged to guest’s credit cards, which will be provided upon check-in at the pool party. The Sonesta will offer free appetizers at the event, served either buffet style or as “passed.”
