General Electric is hosting the Barbecue Research Center at SXSW, a three-day mini festival of hands-on activities featuring experts in the fields of science, food culture and (of course) barbecue. Noted speakers include Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue, Questlove and Scott Heimendinger of Modernist Cuisine as well as tastings from Black's Barbecue, Stiles Switch Barbecue & Brew, Louie Mueller Barbecue, Freedmen's and the house pit scientist.
