H-E-B will host an Earth Day coloring party in Austin and give away 180,000 colorful Earth Day reusable bags, designed by a Texas artist and made from at least 75 percent recycled plastic bottles and containers, to customers across the state. Texas artist Becca Borrelli designed this year’s Earth Day bag. The design is reminiscent of a coloring book, and features the iconic Texas armadillo and bluebonnet, and a call to make every day Earth Day. Austin-area shoppers will have the opportunity to meet the artist at the Earth Day coloring party.
On the Cafe Mueller patio, shoppers can have their Earth Day bag autographed by the artist, help color a giant Earth Day banner, listen to live music, and sample bites proved by H-E-B. Customers may receive one free, reusable bag at the checkout stand, and they have the option to purchase additional bags.
