The Rookie Triathlon course begins with a short 300 meter loop swim in Decker Lake. The swim course is lined with trained lifeguards in kayaks to keep the event as safe as it is fun. Participants will make their way through transition to a 11.2 mile bike in a protected lane around the lake before returning for their transition to the run. Participants will then head onto a two-mile run on smooth off-road paths through the park and back up the road path to the Finish Line Festival. From there participants join others and spectators for celebrating with food, drinks, vendors, and more. Those who are over 21 can visit the beer tent and cheers to their accomplishments.
