eventdetail

Chef Callie Speer and her team at Holy Roller will welcome some of the city's most prominent chefs and culinary personalities for a pie eating contest to kick off the holiday season. Participants will dive head first into some of Holy Roller's homemade pies, all in the name of fun and charity while spectators will be able participate by placing bets on who might win.

Guests are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets and use those to bet on the chef or personality they believe will take the, well, pie in this case. From there, the raffle tickets from the winning chefs' bucket will be drawn for prizes like custom neon signs from the Neon Jungle's Evan Voyles, Yeti prize packs and more.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the raffle tickets sold will benefit SAFE (the merger of Safe Place and Austin Children's Shelter) which is an organization that aims to help women and children who have been affected by domestic violence.

In addition, the event will also have drink specials by Holy Roller's cocktail maven Jen Keyser and pie on hand from Holy Roller's own Britt Castro There may be no better way to celebrate the holidays with some friends and raise money for women and children in need.
