The 28th season of FronteraFest at Hyde Park Theatre is five weeks of alternative, offbeat, new, and just plain off-the-wall fringe theatre. The centerpiece of the festival is the FronteraFest Short Fringe, featuring pieces which are all 25 minutes or less. This year's Short Fringe schedule includes three Gorgon sisters, three witches from the Scottish Play with their own cooking show, comedy improv galore, a Cabaret Wonderland, a breakup song cycle, A Woman Managing Her Anxiety, a piece called I Am Jodie Comer, and more.
The festival also includes Bring Your Own Venue, in which participants bring not just their creative work but also their own venue. This year will include two productions:
- Flood of Spirits, written and performed by Rebecca Maag (at Hillside Farmacy)
- How To Be an Ethical Slut, written and performed by Brooke McCarthy (at The Vortex)
