eventdetail

Inversion presents Inversion at the Library, featuring Da Capo, Inversion's soprano/alto-only group of singers, as well as a combined chorus of singers from all four of Inversion's vocal ensembles. The music performed, mostly by BIPOC composers, will focus on common lived experiences by immigrants, finding our places in our community and the world, exploring some of the world's many cultures, and defining what makes us feel at home.

The concert features African Violet by Jimmy Kachulis, the winner of the Sandra Fivecoat Memorial Composition contest, plus world premieres by in-house composers Benjamin Dia and Adrienne Inglis. The concert will be conducted by Artistic Director Trevor Shaw and Da Capo Director/Inversion Administrative Director Katrina Saporsantos.
