Beginning/ αρχή is ISHIDA Dance Company’s first public performance fundraiser. ISHIDA is a new world-class contemporary dance company in Austin that will premiere multiple creations by Artistic Director, Brett Ishida, former dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montréal.
The evening begins with complimentary sampling of small bites from Austin’s leading restaurants such La Condesa, Intero, Otoko, Le Politique, Rosedale, Eddie V’s, and Oseyo to name a few. Food selection will be dependent on the evening. There will be introductions for each of the pieces to inform the audience. The performance will include top dancers from Houston Ballet, LINES Ballet, Hubbard Street, USC Kaufman School of Dance, LA Dance Project, Texas Ballet Theatre and Ballet Austin featured in several short aesthetically engaging pieces that will expose the viewer to the creative vision of ISHIDA Dance Company.
