A documentary by Venezuelan-born, New York based video, film, and installation artist Javier Tèllez opens in Arthouse’s film and video gallery.
His work investigates what it means to be normal while maneuvering around socio-cultural barriers. Concerned with criticisms of contemporary society, institutional power, and the art market and politics, traditionally marginalized populations (such as the disabled and mentally ill) and structures of control are made visible.
