"Fortlandia" is a collection of unique forts by local architecture and design firms, individual artists, and students from The University of Texas at Austin. Each fort has been custom-built to evoke memories of childhoods spent escaping into nature and daydreaming outdoors.
Visitors can delight in these innovative spaces as they transport them to fantastic imaginary worlds and inspire an appreciation for art and nature — and the curious, wonderful ways in which they intersect. Special complimentary tours will be offered all weekend and no registration is required.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through February 24, 2019.
