A new interpretation of the deliciously dark fable by Hans Christian Andersen, paired with Dark Sounds (Sonidos Negros) at the Rollings Studios Theatre
The onstage ensemble will consist of five dancers and six musicians (two guitarists, two singers, a percussionist, and violinist) working as a cohesive musical unit, usinga unique language of rhythmic and visual cues to lead one another during each performance. The members of A’lante hail from Cuba, Spain, Mexico, in the U.S. from California, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Austin featuring Olivia Chacón as a dance soloist.
