LBJ Presidential Library presents Earth Day, a family-friendly event that will feature opportunities to play, learn, engage, and explore conservation. Visitors can view the new temporary exhibit, "The Lorax: Who Speaks for the Trees Now?," to see the original prints of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax. They can also learn about the powerful environmental efforts that they can take in their homes and neighborhoods, and explore the variety of local resources and organizations dedicated to preserving our Earth and fighting climate change in our community. Attendees can bring their own lunches and picnic on the LBJ Lawn.

Participating organizations include Austin Fire Department, Austin Parks Foundation, Austin Park Rangers, Austin Pets Alive, Keep Austin Beautiful, LCRA, The Mobile River, Colorado River Alliance, and Tiny Tails to You. There will be a performance by “The Singing Zoologist” Lucas Miller and a storytime with author Catherine Stier.
