The mission of the Lifelines project is to depict the bond between people and their pets, and document a relationship that has existed for thousands of years across all walks of life.
These series of images captured by photographer, Norah Levine, are intended to honor a unique lifestyle: The lifestyle of Austin’s homeless; the travelers that have found refuge in this tolerant city; and those suddenly without housing due to economic circumstances—all pet owners whose commonality is a commitment to giving their animal the love and care it deserves no matter what the cost.
Profits from the Lifelines project will benefit the Animal Trustees of Austin’s 4PAWS Program (For People and Animals without Shelter).
