Link & Pin Gallery presents Jim Dougherty: "A Retrospective," composed primarily of black and white selenium-toned gelatin silver prints.
Dougherty studied photography with the late Ansel Adams, Brett and Cole Weston and apprenticed with Austin commercial and portrait photographer Walter Barnes. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Journalism degree, he joined the staff of the Austin American-Statesman and served both as a copy editor and on the photographic staff. After 13 years, Dougherty opened a full-time commercial photographic business. His clients have included most major US news magazines, corporations, nonprofits, and state agencies.
The exhibit will be on display through June 25.
