L’Oca d’Oro will celebrate the Feast of San Gennaro with a special five-course dinner. The Feast of San Gennaro commemorates the liquefaction of San Gennaro's blood upon his martyrdom in 305 AD and has been celebrated in Little Italy since 1926.
With a menu inspired by Neapolitan delicacies and the Lower East Side’s immigrant cuisine of the 20th Century, L’Oca d’Oro’s Feast will begin with The Liquid Faction, a devout opening cocktail, followed by appetizers of Mozzarella en Carozza and Polenta-battered Hot Sausage and Peppers. Entrees include Rye Cannelloni with Pastrami and Cabbage as well as Char Siu Pork Ribs. To end the evening, dessert will feature Tricolore Cannoli.
