L’Oca d’Oro presents March on the Kitchen Dinner

L’Oca d’Oro will host a group of Central Texas’ most talented female chefs and bartenders to create a special evening that will highlight the importance of female leaders within the culinary industry. The proceeds will benefit SAFE Austin, a partnership of Austin’s Children’s Shelter and SafePlace dedicated to ending child abuse, sexual assault, and domestic violence.

The lineup of female chefs and bartenders include:

  • Abby Love, Dai Due (Austin)
  • Susana Querejazu, Barley Swine and Odd Duck (Austin)
  • Amanda Turner, Juniper (Austin)
  • Kristine Kittrell, Weather Up (Austin)
  • Alex Manley, formerly of Bufalina and Josephine House (Austin)
  • Erin Murtagh, Chicon and Contigo (Austin) - Women’s March mixologist
  • Vilma Mazaite, 2015 Food & Wine Sommelier of the Year and former wine director at LaV

Five Course Tasting Menu

  • Mesquite baguette, Rye sourdough and Franzbrotchen w/ bay leaf ricotta, seville orange jam and pickled beet jelly
  • Grilled Kale Salad w/ toasted pecans, pecorino & meyer lemon vinaigrette
  • Sunchoke Gnocchi w/ grilled red shrimp, tuscan kale pesto & sunchoke crisps
  • Vermouth-braised Pork Crepinette, fennel, radish, citrus
  • Grapefruit Pavlova w/ rosemary meringue, beet-coconut yogurt & grapefruit sorbe
