LOLA (Local Opera Local Artists) presents We Might Be Struck By Lightning, a choreographed pastiche chamber opera. Conceived and directed by Rebecca Herman with choreography by Rebecca Whitehurst, the bold, genre-blurring production reimagines the boundaries of opera and theatre.

Arranged for voice, piano, cello, and violin, the work weaves together music, movement, and voice in an intimate, electric harmony. Through the emotional depth of art song and the expressive language of dance, the piece explores themes of vulnerability, connection, grief, and the complex beauty of the human experience.
