Lydia Street Gallery will present a "Meet the Artist Afterparty Dinner" with Marjory Johnston in celebration of the exhibition, Daniel & Marjory Johnston: “The What of Whom.”
Daniel Johnston (1961-2019) was subject of the award-winning documentary The Devil and Daniel Johnston. The Austin legend, musician, artist, and muralist of the iconic "Hi, How Are You?" frog was honored with “Hi, How Are You?” Day, recognized by the City of Austin & the State of Texas to honor his contribution to the arts & mental health.
Chef Mitchell Allen is taking a cue from Daniel's love of food, vibrant color & energy, and being in the moment. Guests can enjoy a four-course meal with Marjory Johnston & gallerist Deanna Miesch. They can also immerse themselves in “The What of Whom” art exhibit, with the requisite Daniel Johnston soundtrack.
