In conjunction with the exhibition “Radical Transformation: Magnum Photos into the Digital Age,” the Harry Ransom Center kicks off the Magnum Film Series on Sunday, November 3 with films exploring “Beginnings.” This double-header highlights the famous founders of Magnum Photos, featuring The Decisive Moment (1973), a film narrated by Henri Cartier-Bresson and directed by Cornell Capa, and Robert Capa in Love and War (2002), written and directed by Anne Makepeace.
Celebrating Magnum’s pioneering engagement with motion pictures, as well as the agency’s contemporary multimedia projects, this four-part series features films and videos by and about Magnum photographers. Join the HRC on Sundays in November for the series.
