Four Central Texas businesses are celebrating community during Métier Cook’s Supply Labor Day Weekend event by turning the spotlight on Becker Elementary’s organic and educational non-profit gardening program, The Becker Green Classroom. The public can enjoy ice cream treats from Lick Honest Ice Creams’ truck, offerings from co-sponsors Save The World Brewing Co. and Dublin Bottling Works, live jazz music from Sarah Arenella and her band, and giveaways.
The event also serves as a preview of Lick’s ice cream sandwiches debuting this September. Attendees will get a first taste of this new product, featuring an exclusive flavor that’s never been tasted before. A variety of ice cream sandwiches will be available for purchase at all three Lick Honest Ice Creams shops in Austin and San Antonio beginning Labor Day.
Lick partnered with the Green Classroom to use an herb from their seasonal crops to make an exclusive ice cream flavor that will only be available at this event. The ice cream sandwiches or two scoops of ice cream will be sold for $5 each, and 20 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Green Classroom. There will also be options to make delicious floats paired with ice cream. In addition to live music and treats, there will be a social media contest for attendees to enter to win three pints of ice cream from Lick and some vintage ice cream coupes from Métier.
