Study with internationally acclaimed dance artist Mihrimah Ghaziya of France during her first U.S. Tour. In Austin, Mihrimah will teach four different world dance workshops: Georgian (a folk dance from Adjara Province), Kalbeliya Indian Dance (a dance by a nomadic group in Rajasthan), Egyptian Melaya Leff (an Alexandrian staged-folk dance), and Chinese Silk Fans (expressing the image of the blossoming lotus as a symbol of spiritual elevation). Workshops are appropriate for practitioners of any dance style and level. Mihrimah is also performing on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. Workshop participants can also sign up to perform.
