In 2010, Alamo Drafthouse co-founder and CEO Tim League opened up Drafthouse Films, the distribution wing of his entertainment brand in order to promote some of the films that he felt were being passed over for being too bold and ambitious by other U.S. distributors. With the entire distribution model of films in flux, League will join Austin Film Society for a discussion on his philosophy of distribution and marketing, his views on the challenges of distribution today, and his advice for independent filmmakers looking to put their films out on the market. 

AFS will also be screening a few Drafthouse Films titles during August.
