Mueller will present the grand opening of the new Aldrich Street Lending Library. Visitors are encouraged to stop by to see the library and help fill its shelves by donating books, magazines, DVDs, and games.
Designed and constructed by local artist Daniel Goodwin, the 10-foot-tall structure is uniquely designed to represent the shape of an open book. One side replicates the “A” in the Aldrich Street logo, while the other side features an open space to sit and read. A collection of plexiglass-covered shelves are outfitted with LED lights powered by solar energy, which light up when visitors interact with the library.
The library is located at Aldrich Street at Robert Browning, across from Alamo Drafthouse.
