A Mighty Wind was best described by the Drafthouse as This is Spinal Tap but without the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. It also solidified Christopher Guest and collaborator Eugene Levy as the masters of the mockumentary. Similar to previous his previous films, A Mighty Wind captures the larger-than-life characters of folk music while casting them in a sympathetic light in the satirical history of three stereotypical folk rock groups. And once again, the songs themselves are actually really good.
