In celebration of the holiday season, the National Museum of the Pacific War is decking out its Memorial Courtyard in holiday lights.

The display will open with a lighting ceremony on December 4, complete with a socially-distanced photo op with Santa. The courtyard will be open to the public to enjoy the lighting display on weekends, Friday-Sunday, through January 3 (except December 25).

In addition, the museum will be collecting new books and board games to deliver to the Fort Hood Santa's Workshop, a non-profit which provides Christmas gifts to over 3,000 children of Active-duty military. Book or game donations can be dropped off at either of the NMPW main admissions desks located in the Admiral Nimitz Gallery at 340 E. Main St., or the George H.W. Bush Gallery located at 311 E. Austin St. There will also be a donation box at the Gazebo in the Memorial Courtyard during the Holiday on the Homefront tree light displays.
