Neill-Cochran House Museum presents Sunday Funday: Ornaments of Straw

eventdetail

One Sunday of the month, the Neill-Cochran House Museum opens its doors to feature hands-on activities, scavenger hunts, and space to enjoy lunch in the shade.

Light and shiny, straw is the perfect decoration. Harkening back to German and Scandinavian traditions, straw was something all homes, rich or poor, could find in abundance. As a result families wove straw together to decorate their homes during the winter holidays. This Sunday Funday guests can weave straw together to make lasting and brilliant ornaments.

Though this activity will be taking place primarily outdoors, all visitors are asked wear masks at all times on the museum property.
