New Milestones Foundation presents "Looking Back, Moving Forward, a Retrospectacular," the 12th annual Bridging the Gap gala on November 7 featuring Austin jazz singer Ava Arenella and special guest speaker Tara Ebrahimi, a journalist from Washington, D.C. She has a compelling story to share about her brother’s debilitating struggles with mental illness and intellectual disabilities, her mission to assist him by navigating the healthcare system and her own issues with bi-polar disorder.

The Four Seasons Hotel is the setting for the magical evening, which includes a seated dinner, live auction, entertainment and opportunities to bid on some creatively packaged items. "Looking Back, Moving Forward" will raise monies to provide mental health services for children and teens in the Austin community though Austin Travis County Integral Care. Honorary chairperson for the event is Dawn Crouch, community leader and board member of Austin Recovery.
