Opal Divine’s Penn Field will celebrate the Kentucky Derby with its 8th Annual American Whiskey Festival. Special derby day festivities will take place during the day before the whiskey festival kicks off at 6 pm.
The day will start with a derby brunch followed by the derby party. The derby party includes a Ladies Hat Contest, Austin’s Best Mint Julep Competition (featuring a selection of whiskeys from the whiskey festival) and, of course, watching the derby itself. This year’s Annual American Whiskey festival will feature more than 60 bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes from North America’s best distillers. Distillery reps will be on site to discuss to hand out pours and discuss the finer points of their whiskeys with fans.
